Duran Duran At The Mayan
No one could be more thrilled than I am to see Duran Duran selling out concerts in a matter of moments again. The band always came first in our lives. Our family motto was “have baby, have nanny, will travel.”
I’m sorry if it sounded cold when I tweeted “the answer to your question – can you get me tickets is NO!” The truth of the matter is you’d probably have better luck asking the janitor than an EX wife! I wasn’t sure if Iwould have a ticket, especially in a small venue in LA where the band have more friends than seats.

Then I got an urgent message from Tatjana yesterday telling me her father said there would be one ticket waiting for me at will call, but I had to let him know if I wanted it right away. “Do I really want to run downtown in the pouring rain, alone, to see the band?” I pondered momentarily, “Yes!”
A photo even Nick would be proud of
They were my family for too many years, not to be there for their latest moment of glory. This may sound odd, but I felt like a very proud mama last night. They sounded so great, looked like they were really enjoying themselves, and I LOVE the new album!
Duran mania returns with fervor
I’m obviously not the only one who thinks so judging by the star studded line-up that joined them on stage, David Lynch streaming their concert live over the internet, and the cover of L’uomo Vogue about to be released.

Then of course there were the hugs and waves of fond memories backstage…
John Taylor with stunning wife Gela Nash
… and the shocking realization of years flown by. Amber LeBon all grown up and glamorous!

Although not surprisingly, she was the only four year old I’ve ever known that could rock a pair of high heels like she had been born in them.

Having Tatjana there was the only thing that could have made the evening more perfect. Thankfully she will be here next month when the band plays Coachella. In the meantime I sent her this photo to let her know her parents both miss her. Thank you for the invite Nick.
